A former sports writer for more than a decade, Paul Stone has been seriously handicapping college football for more than 30 years and ranks among a select few who have won multiple major handicapping contests in Las Vegas, finishing first overall in both the 2011 Leroy’s College Football Challenge and the 2013 Golden Nugget Friday Football Showdown.
More recently, both of Paul’s entries posted high finishes in the 2018 Golden Nugget’s Ultimate Football Challenge as the Texas native took both 3rd and 11th place out of more than 300 contestants.
Paul does not divide his energies between all sports. He is not a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. He is a specialist, focusing on college football; PGA Tour golf; and college basketball. College football is where he earned his reputation, but his golf matchups are catching the eye of bettors and bookmakers alike across the globe.
Over the past four years (2016 through 2019 seasons), Paul Stone Sports has released 473 selections (sides and totals) for a winning percentage of 55 percent as monitored by The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City. If you’re easily swayed by outlandish claims by unscrupulous, unsavory sorts, then that percentage may not seem overly impressive.
However, if you have realistic expectations and experience in the marketplace, I believe you understand this level of monitored performance over that sample size is matched by very few.
Let’s face it. Most persons who market their “expertise” to the general public grossly misrepresent their performance and credentials and the consumer has little - if any - ability to verify claims and records.
Again, unlike the vast majority of persons marketing selections, I am one of a relatively small number of handicappers choosing to be monitored by the most respected and truly independent monitoring company in the U.S. - The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City.
Sure, it cost a little bit, but I believe the consumer deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing they’re dealing with someone who’s dealing straight and not trying to sell them swamp land in Arizona.
If you’re contemplating using someone to supplement your handicapping, ask them if they’re monitored by The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City. Hopefully, they are. If not, they‘ll probably hem and haw and offer up some questionable excuses about their decision to be unaccountable to the public.

While some well-known services whose records cannot be verified by a third party charge more than $2,000 for a season, Paul fully understands that a service has no value for a customer if the math doesn't add up. These are his top plays each week - not 'leans' or 'opinions' or some left overs.
